Lady Vase, Soda-fired
An elegant, high-footed vase (the "waist' is the actual bottom), perfect for small bouquets: fresh, dried, felt, or faux. Fired in a soda kiln, the colors range from sky blue to plummy purples with touches of grey carbon trapping. Very lovely accent to your home decor when not in use too. I made this vase in the early-mid 2000s, and am making it available as a final sale. A rare opportunity!
I threw this form in two pieces on the potter's wheel, pulled and formed the handles, and then decorated with stamping and slip-trail.
- Approx. 9" h x 4.5" l x 5" w
- Flower friendly and water tight.
- My work is both elegant AND intended for your use and enjoyment. Handmade pottery can need (and happily, deserves) a little more love to prolong its life than contemporary manufactured ware, so while durable, hand washing is recommended.
