Wall Pillow, TREASURE in Navy Blue & Periwinkle
A small, pillowy painting in porcelain intended to bring beauty and pattern to a little corner of your home. Too dimensional to be called a tile, too poofy to be called a box, this plump form with collage-like decoration will add a lovely focal point to your home décor. They look lovely in multiples, hard to pick just one!
I glazed this pillow tile in a satin periwinkle blue paired with a navy blue arabesque shape. The word TREASURE with olive inlay and sprinkles of sky blue and olive green polka dots are layered under a textural vining floral detailed with navy blue inlay, which speaks to my love of text & lush vintage ads. The lettering is intended to be a part of the pattern, another layer. It's a word that is both a noun and verb, so you can think of it as an object (a treasure) or an objective (to treasure). Any which way, it's a little extra joy for your home.
I individually hand-build this little form from mid-range porcelain slabs, choosing a unique combination of lush and layered decoration for each, including slip-trailing, underglaze, and inlay. The ornate surfaces wrap around the form, so each angle offers a different, elegant view. Every one is unique, and one-of-a-kind.
About, Care, & Hanging:
- Approx. 6 3/4" h x 6 3/4" w x 2 3/4" d; 3 lbs.
- Because it is ceramic, it's very easy to clean and insusceptible to humidity and other unkind conditions (unlike a paper or canvas art), so while it's great in any room, it's particularly perfect for bathroom and kitchen decoration.
- It has a slotted opening in the back for easy hanging (one screw --use an anchor if necessary--is all that is needed to hold it tight) and self-leveling. Hangs flat to the wall.
Note: If your order costs less to pack & ship, I reimburse overages.
