Bud vase glazed in a glossy ivory w. red polka dots & navy detail.
Process:
I throw this form on the potter’s wheel and then alter it and the lid into a soft square shape. The foot is trimmed and then the side is carved for a nice detailed accent. I also decorate the surface with sponged and trailed slip (the clay version of cake-decorating): swirls and dots of textured pattern.
About:
-Approx. 7 3/4" h x 4 1/2" w x 3 1/2" d
- Wheel-thrown mid-range porcelain w. underglaze & inlay deco.
-The clay and glazes are lead-free and food safe.
