Video: Studio Tour ~ Focus: Ergonomics & Health, Organization & Equipment
This is a video recording of a presentation that took place live over Zoom.
About: This is an informal, nearly 2 hour walkthrough of my basement studio in our Massachusetts home where I’ve been working full-time for 16 years.
While this is not a how-to for setting up a studio nor an introduction of hand tools specific to my processes (which will happen at future workshops), it is an overview about ergonomics & studio health along with my decisions about studio configuration & organization. From standing to throw logistics & template storage to being 'Purposefully Inefficient' & ware shelf preferences, a studio –like us & our work!– is always a work in progress.
Who this is for: Clay makers at any level. This casual and informative glimpse behind the scenes of where I make my work (and spend most of my time!) offers insight into my take on good ergonomics & healthy studio habits as well as organization & storage, tools & equipment.
Access: The recording is accessible for 6 months on a private page for the personal education of the purchaser*. That page also includes links and images to items discussed during the live presentation as well as the ability to leave comments & questions. After you complete your purchase, I will send the access information for the recording of the live presentation.
