An elegant lidded jar for any room to complement your home decor. Beautiful for use, or use just for beauty. This luscious jar is glazed in a satin light green, and decorated with light green panels layered with polka dots & inlay detail in olive, sky blue, & marine blue, and a lovely, vining textural floral.
Process:
I throw this form on the potter’s wheel and then alter it and the lid into a soft square shape. The foot is trimmed and then the bottom is carved for a nice detailed accent. I also decorate the surface with sponged and trailed slip (the clay version of cake-decorating) creating swirls and dots of textured pattern, as well as inlay.

- The clay and glazes are lead-free and food safe.
- My work is both elegant AND intended for your use and enjoyment. Handmade pottery can need (and happily, deserves) a little more love to prolong its life than contemporary manufactured ware: while durable, hand washing is recommended.
